MdC Music Therapy is an exclusively online music therapy service. As we create space for you to engage in creative musical play, or explore feelings evoked through lyric analysis or songwriting, or revive memories through listening to music together, we honour the ancient powers of music and musicality to connect us to our healing.

We are committed to challenging colonial and patriarchal approaches to therapy and mental health through anti-oppressive, antiracist, relational-cultural, empowerment-based, psychodynamic music therapy.

Our intention is to support you with cultural humility, in exploring the personal, collective, and political intergenerational and systemic factors which may impact on your wellbeing and empower you to rediscover your agency and autonomy to shape your own healing. In doing so, we recognise that our holistic health and healing are connected to the health and healing of all peoples worldwide and that of our planet.

We are pro-community and anti-war and are working consistently on fostering a consciousness in our practice that actively combats imperial oppression in all forms. We believe that every action towards realising social justice counts and we are allies of people of colour, our LGBTQ+ kin, the neurodiverse community and all historically marginalised groups. We work with the mindful awareness that each of us is responsible for engaging in our own healing and transformation, not just for ourselves, but also as it impacts how we move in and change our world.
